Summer Study Programme

Summer Study Programme
There is no better introduction to living a second language than spending time with native speakers. Ireland is a wondrous location thanks to its friendly people and fascinating history. Our hugely successful two week Summer Camp offers students from ages 12- 17 an action-packed and truly
authentic Irish experience. We believe it is people that make the special memories, our program is family-run and family-based. Students will spend equal time between lessons/ activities and with their host families. Our team of qualified teachers and instructors will motivate and inspire our young guests to savour the true culture of Ireland, improving their English through project based learning, grammar classes, history, daily 1 to 1 conversation, sports and much more.
Location
Our summer camp takes place in the beautiful town of Virginia, Co. Cavan. Safe and tranquil with locals always happy to chat, students will enjoy life in a typical Irish country village. This area is one of Ireland’s many charms, tucked away in beautiful Lakelands ( 365 lakes, one for every day of the year!) and green hills of County Cavan. It is a paradise for water sports, cycling, hiking, rugby, and football. Its proximity to the major cities of Dublin, Belfast, Kilkenny and Galway allows for many enjoyable cultural day trips.
Host Familes
Particular attention is given to selecting all our host families. All host families are security/ police vetted and are known personally to our organization. We place immense emphasis on students feeling welcomed and cared for. Students will have ALL meals and transport provided by the host family. Our families are committed to creating a “home from home” for the student. Host Families are encouraged to incorporate the student into their daily lives with outdoor activities, board games, baking, cooking, family occasions, trips, outings or whatever they are used to doing as a family.
